Breaking the Silence (Part 1): LGBTQ Veterans Speak Up!

This session will be presented through the actual experiences of four Oregon veterans and one current service member.  They will explain the unique experiences and challenges they experienced and continue to face. Training includes viewing of Breaking the Silence: an Oral History of Oregon’s LGBTQ Veterans & Service Members.

Breaking the Silence (Part 2): Documentary Debrief & Panel Discussion

This session presents an opportunity to discuss the film in Session 1 and have a conversation with the producer and LGBTQ veterans featured in the film. Statewide resources will be shared and framed around Oregon’s commitment to helping ALL veterans access services in an inclusive and welcoming way
