We are excited to collaborate with End HIV Oregon to reduce stigma and isolation of long term survivors. By setting aside free tickets to our storytelling events, we are creating new socialization opportunities for long term survivors. Removing financial barriers helps create more access to our local arts scene.
Here are some quotes from long term survivors who attended a recent holiday show:
I was able to attend because of the free cost. I really appreciated that. In the time of ever increasing rent and food costs, I’ve had to cut out other things like entertainment.
Just by getting out of the house and participating in my community, it makes me feel connected to something bigger than myself.
It certainly got me out of my apartment. It was the highlight of my week. I was looking forward to it. I’m glad I went.
There are many events I’d like to go to but can’t afford to go to so this was great.
I enjoy any event that gets me out of the house and socializing. This event was great at accomplishing this plus I was able to listen to such interesting stories!
