About Us

Storytelling, Coaching, Events & Classes

Call Paul at 503-577-5750

We amplify the voices of underrepresented communities through storytelling and collaboration. By focusing on sharing authentic stories and partnering with different organizations, we are creating a space for diverse perspectives to be heard and valued and ultimately fostering a stronger sense of community.

Paul Iarrobino

Paul Iarrobino is the founding director of Our Bold Voices. Iarrobino has spent over three decades raising awareness about the intersections of aging, historical oppression and lived experience of LGBTQ+ older adults as an advocate for equity and inclusion. He combines his storytelling background, field experience, latest research and sense of curiosity to engage audiences across the country and inspire policy shifts to meet the unique needs of the older LGBTQ+ community. He is one of the founding members of Elder Pride Services and received their Lifetime Achievement Award in 2018 for providing leadership during their formative years. Paul is the proud recipient of Gay & Lesbian Archives of the Pacific Northwest’s 2021 Queer Hero Award for his groundbreaking work engaging and inspiring community dialogues during the pandemic.

Paul is excited about the 2024 release of his latest anthology, Defining Voices. With 14 other contributors he hopes these unique voices will reflect our true history. Book tours are in works, similar to his first published book, Covidology.

Arnel Mandilag

Arnel brings his creativity and technical skills to Our Bold Voices. He serves as our graphic designer, web administrator, and technical expert on various aspects of the business. He has been a tremendous asset with creating our books, including designing the covers and layouts, coordinating with the on-demand printers, and providing editing and research services.

Storytelling

We are committed to amplifying the voices of underrepresented communities. Through storytelling and collaboration, we not only share authentic narratives but also build bridges toward more inclusive and connected communities.
